Ebony Clarets won a seller and a claimer last month but has been soundly beaten in his last three runs in handicaps and is up against it again here. STAR CITY's only victory so far came in a Catterick maiden but he's been thereabouts in better company than this of late and has been dropped a pound since a close-up fourth at Wolverhampton. This looks a good chance to double his tally. Goninodaethat and Jebel Tara were both second over 1m here at the start of the month and could the biggest dangers to the selection, though Summer Dancer and Drive Home are previous C&D winners.
