SHAN VALLEY is handed the vote after a very good effort at Wetherby where she looked the winner until a mistake at the last. Blue Kascade attracted good support on his return from a break over this track and trip last time and was impressive in scoring by 10 lengths though he's been hit hard in the weights and won't find this as easy. Kayfrou scrambled home at Bangor in December but ran poorly when stepped up in trip at Catterick on New Year's Day while Newdane Dancer landed a Catterick seller before a decent effort in a handicap there last month. Spanish Fleet is one of the few here with scope and has run well enough in novice company to be considered despite a big weight.
