    Verdict

Mark Johnston runs Election Day, who found some improvement on ground with some give at Ayr, and Nepeta, who didn't perform as well at that same fixture. Souter was making his debut in that former event when behind Election Day though that was his first start and with improvement to come he can reverse the positions and go close. DOCTOR CROSS is a half-brother to six winners and made an encouraging debut at Thirsk, staying on after the leaders had flown. He'll know much more this time and looks the one to be on. John Quinn won this last year so the newcomer Performing, who cost 75,000 euros, is one to note.
