In depth

Verdict

A chance is taken with Catch The Cat, who is holding his form well and is just preferred over One Way Ticket, Handsome Cross and the in-form High Ridge. The last named has won his last two starts in good style and is entitled to bid for the hat trick in this company. However, he faces a much harder task today and he may find others are a little sharper. Handsome Cross shapes as he can pay his way now that he is under the care of David Nichols. His last couple of efforts have been encouraging and he is one to bear in mind if supported. The same has to be said of One Way Ticket, whose yard have a good strike-rate here at Musselburgh. The five-year-old entire is in good form and can go close with a useful 3lb claimer assisting his cause today. However, Catch The Cat is really on a roll at present and this speedy individual has plenty in his favour today. The son of Catrail has already seen off a few of the opposition in their encounters this season and another bold bid is expected from this tough campaigner this afternoon.
