Verdict

Simon Walker has won this race before and his mount Arthurs Secret arrives in fine form having won in soft ground at Nottingham last time. Mick Easterby sent out last year’s winner and Duke Of Yorkshire scored at Catterick recently under today’s amateur while Love Marmalade, Amirli and Merchant Of Dubai were all second on their latest starts with the latter pair’s placed efforts coming at this track. But MIDNIGHT WARRIOR won an apprentices’ race over 1m6f at Redcar recently and Ron Barr’s charge may come out best in a tight contest.
