After beating Curley Bill in a Fairyhouse bumper, Expanding Universe started favourite on his hurdling debut at Leopardstown but ran poorly. He's better than that but is best watched for now while Fergiethelegend gets a quick opportunity to make amends for unshipping his rider at the start at Navan on Sunday. He could probably do with a bit further but Kashline was only run out of it close home over 2m5f at Limerick and this could prove his best trip. Mr Groocock has potential though his jumping has left plenty to be desired so it's MORNING ASSEMBLY who gets the vote after an excellent hurdling debut behind the well-regarded Sizing Gold at Leopardstown.
