Verdict

Texas Rock was the surprise winner of this a year ago and has a penalty for another Listed success at Navan. Ambassadorial won at this level at Dundalk as a juvenile and was attempting to concede 24lb to the winner when narrowly beaten there last month. The lightly-raced Chessman arrives from the UK with strong credentials despite not winning since his debut though he's been a beaten favourite in three of his last four starts. Riyazan has a penalty for a Listed success at Dundalk in October but looks the type to progress again this campaign. BROTHER BEAR escapes extra as his victory at this level was before the deadline. He only just failed to return with another victory on this track and with his stable in tremendous form looks the one to be on. Neither Jewel Maker nor Sometimesadiamond can be dismissed in what should be an informative contest.
