Winning bumper KOLUMBUS had looked a certain future winner over hurdles when runner-up to Bacardys at Leopardstown but has been beaten at short prices in two subsequent starts. He gets another chance here though Coeur Joyeux, who couldn't get to Battleford at Leopardstown in December, was up against a winner who has performed with credit in much better company so that looks a decent effort. Jimmy Breekie hadn't shown much before a better effort at Naas though he may find this on the short side but Soul Kaliber was in the lead at this trip before fading at Clonmel last week and is the type to do better. Serefeli has been in excellent form at Dundalk and with every possibility of doing well over timber he has to be respected.
