In depth

Verdict

Ruby Walsh has been booked for Victrix Gale but Tony Martin's charge continues to disappoint despite a slightly better run last time. Scavenger Lad was making his handicap debut when runner-up to Glam Gerry at Leopardstown and should go well with just a 3lb rise to contend with. Winning point-to-pointer Puddencullinan has reverted to regulation fences in good form and was only run out of it close home over 2m5f last time but Amber Knight is probably better over further. VARDAS SUPREME put his jumping problems behind him at Down Royal last time and providing the ground doesn't dry out he looks on a low enough mark to gain his first success over fences.
