Verdict

Pride Of Pimlico played up before the start on his debut at the season's first fixture at Naas but did everything right in the race. He's certain to go well again in the conditions but the concession of 5lb to SERGEI PROKOFIEV may prove beyond him. Aidan O'Brien's colt started long odds-on for his debut at Dundalk where he looked like winning until caught in the dying strides by Skitter Skatter. Most of his stables youngster have needed their opening runs and the $1.1m son of Scat Daddy can go one better with Ryan Moore coming over for the ride. The winner at Dundalk is trained by Patrick Prendergast, who has Sunday Spark engaged here. He chased home the well-supported Dadoozdart at Naas and will have come on a bundle for the run. Ger Lyons' Tallien looks best of the two newcomers but experience should tell in the prevailing conditions.
