      Verdict

The shortlist contains Villaricca, Summer Charm and Dovedale, with the vote going to Villaricca. There was plenty to like about the way that Villaricca went about her business when winning at Salisbury last time and, despite her six-pound penalty, looks set to run a big race again. Summer Charm has been performing with great credit this season, and she has won two of her last three races, and is very much respected even though she is five pounds above a winning Turf mark - although she has won from today's mark on the all-weather. Jacaranda is weighted to just get the better of Fisby based on their recent Leicester runs, and both hold place claims, while Dovedale looked to be on the upgrade when scoring on Lingfield's all-weather last time and could conceivably be well treated on Turf. Finally, Toparudi put in a fair effort from today's mark at Haydock last and holds a place shout on that but, for the winner, we return to Villaricca.
