Verdict

After an easy win last time FANTINO looks well-treated under a penalty so should be landing this handicap at the chief expense of Mykingdomforahorse and Seventh Hill. Seven lengths was the margin of success for the selection when capping a progressive run of form to beat Astronomical at Doncaster last time. Based on that he's still well treated with a 6lbs penalty and this slight step up in trip shouldn't be a problem. Mykingdomforahorse was less than length back in second behind Drawn Gold on his last run. The handicapper has taken a dim view of the run but he was on an improving run of results prior to that so might find enough to challenge. Seventh Hill was a cosy enough winner at Bath two starts back and was a close up third to Sunny Spells on his latest run. He's up just 1lb for that performance so he should show up in the mix. Celtic Dragon's third place finish at Brighton last time on just his second run back after over a year-and-a-half off offers hope of more while Merigs Dream ran well on her seasonal bow and can build on it. A few could challenge but Fantino should win if on the same form as his last run.
