      Verdict

Able Baker Charlie looks to hold a very good chance of making amends for a narrow Royal Hunt Cup defeat, and gets our vote here, with Camp Commander, Lago d'Orta, Gold History and Zucchero among others to consider in a competitive and valuable handicap. In fact, the Hunt Cup could hold the key to this race with the selection having run in it, plus Camp Commander (fifth), Lago d'Orta (sixth), Audience (eighth), Impeller (ninth), Vortex (tenth) and Highland Reel (26th) and King's County 29th. but they meet on the same terms so we will trust the form to be confirmed, particularly given that the selection is well drawn in this race that will be run over the straight mile. Of the others, Gold History, a Listed winner in April, will appreciate the drop in class from his last two Group-level engagements and could go well, while Serieux returns to the scene of his second in the Spring Handicap in April and his stable is in much better form now, and Zucchero, very well handicapped on the best of his 2002 form, is a course and distance winner and seemed to show improved form in cheekpieces last time. Do not rule him out of a good run but, for us, the selection is Able Baker Charlie.
