      Verdict

Serena Brotherton has a fine record in this race and St Ignatius should be in good heart having almost stolen a race at Brighton under forcing tactics. The handicapper's decision to raise him for that effort appears a little harsh so we'll oppose with CHOCOLATE BLOCK. Pat Phelan's filly was easy to back at Windsor on her first start for the trainer but she'd shown a modicum of ability for previous connections, and with Alice Mills able to claim, we'll take them to follow up. Shades Of Grey was in rude form last season and he cannot be ruled out. Aldwick Bay is something of a Windsor specialist while Hayley Moore has mopped up a number of these events in the past but she'll need all her powers of persuasion aboard Dr Livingstone as the eight-year-old ran no sort of race on his return from absence.
