The market is often a good guide in this as six favourites have won in the last ten years. As expected many of these are very expensive fillies with immaculate pedigrees including Ihtifal, who is a half-sister to the Listed winner Floristy. Lashyn is out of the 1000 Guineas winner Sleepytime who has already produced plenty of winners while Manaar, from the yard that won this last year, cost $350,000 and is out of a USA winner. Sentaril has plenty of speed in her pedigree while Charlie Hills has a couple of nice entries in Haraqaan and REVELETTE and it's the latter, a half-sister to a Grade 1 winner in the States, who is handed the vote.
