In depth

Verdict

BAJAN PRIDE, Shakedown and Rock Relief may be the three to concentrate on in a tricky start to proceedings where the market may well be useful, particularly in relation to the chances of Ian Williams' runner, but we'll opt for the Fahey horse. Bajan Pride steps back up in trip having been able only to finish at the one pace over a mile at Nottingham and that should definitely see him in a better light as he'd previously got to within a head of doubling his tally on turf over ten furlongs at Newcastle. He's fairly handicapped and should go well. Shakedown and Rock Relief have more to prove but both represent yards that are capable of producing their charges in good shape for their reappearances. The booking of the experienced Serena Brotherton points to a big run from Shakedown who showed ability in a handful of starts for Ed McMahon in 2008 and who looks to have been given every chance by the handicapper; expect him to attract support. Rock Relief has less to recommend him on paper but it's folly to ignore runners from this yard whilst Mustajed and Amroth are two more worth more than a cursory glance but preference is for Bajan Pride.
