Monsieur Rieussec is going the right way judged on his latest third at Sandown but Market Town will surely have to improve on his debut effort at York if he's to take up one of his engagements in either the Dewhurst or Racing Post Trophy. He may well do so and is preferred to Rockpool of those with experience, but there's a trio of late two-year-old debutants worthy of interest. The half-brother to three winners, Bit Of A Gift, is one and 280,000gns purchase Pivotal Movement is another. However, Andrew Balding won a division of this in 2010 with a newcomer and NOT RIGG, a half-brother to a multiple Grade 1 winner in America, could prove good enough this year.
