In depth

Verdict

Poole Belle is lightly-raced and got off the mark on soft going at Salisbury at the start of the month. But this is an altogether more competitive affair and she is 6lb higher. Yarmouth maiden winner Gale Song would also need a major step forward but Lightning Charlie found the company too hot last time at Goodwood and will be more at home here - he has the beating of Fairway To Heaven. Field Game won over course and distance last month but Captain Bob is still proving hard to place and Major Crispies is best on Polytrack and over further. EDWARD LEWIS was only ninth last time at Newmarket but not beaten far. He drops down a grade for this and can get back to winning ways.
