In depth

Verdict

Things will have to drop right for him but Full Spate is more than capable of taking this with William's Well and Distant Country the two we fear the most. The selection ran well when a staying-on fourth behind Idle Power at Goodwood last time. He is from a yard in form and with conditions to suit will be hard to beat. William's Well is a course and distance winner and he is on a fair mark at present so he could give him the most to do. However, he has been a little disappointing of late so he will need to show a little more to encourage us before we put him up as a selection. Distant Country proved his well-being when finishing second behind Langford at Ripon last week. That was his best effort for some time and now that he is finding a bit of form it could pay to take the hint if there is any market confidence behind him. Ulysees is the other worth a second look in the market but for the winner we return to Full Spate.
