Verdict

FRANCIS XAVIER was six lengths in front of the rest when third at Lingfield on his racecourse debut behind a winner rated 83. He gets the vote on that form ahead of Al Galayel, who posted an improved effort at Chelmsford and should be in the mix with any further progress. The 525,000gns purchase Khamry is a half-brother to the smart Patentar while Li Mei is related to four winners and another newcomer to note.
