Verdict

Winning bumper BE BOP BORU had shown nothing in three starts over timber before taking advantage of a lowly mark on his handicap debut. He was well supported to do so and won with the minimum of fuss so a follow-up under a penalty looks likely. Solway Dornal reverts to hurdling after an absence since unseating his rider over fences at Kelso in October and appears better over the bigger obstacles. Shan Valley hasn't been beaten far in testing conditions in her last two starts and has won over the trip. She's gone up in the weights but her rider's claim is a bonus and she should be in the frame. Bollin Julie is still a maiden but ran her best race to date when stepping up to this trip at Sedgefield and can't go much lower in the handicap.
