Verdict

TRIXIE MALONE is the most recent winner with a victory in soft ground at Ayr in September. A good effort over course and distance when last seen at the track further boosts confidence and Karl Burke's filly gets the nod. Ferdy posted a better effort on the Polytrack last week but is rated 10lb higher on Turf while Cheeky Wee Red showed progressive form back in 2012 but was tailed off on her comeback. Violent Velocity would prefer faster going but Clumber Place is at home in soft ground and has won three times over course and distance in the past.
