    Verdict

A wide open nursery gets us underway, with CELESTIAL TRYST taken to get the better of likely main dangers Azizi and Desert Forest. George Moore's filly landed a bit of a touch last time out at Doncaster, when upped to this trip after running over five furlongs on debut. She may even get further in time. She's due to run in a group race at Newmarket on Saturday. The draw may not come into play here given there's a field of just six set to face the starter, but Azizi is drawn low, which may help him. Being stepped up in trip second time out also paid dividends for him, winning a lower grade Lingfield maiden over seven furlongs. A son of Guineas winners, there are no fancy entries lined up for him yet, but further improvement's expected. Desert Forest keeps finding one too good, having been runner up in his last three races. He's showing improvement, but may be a serial loser. William Morgan's got more than a stone in hand on top-weighted Ananda Kanan, and although being placed once in three maidens is nothing to shout about, the form that Richard Fahey's string are in demands some respect. It's a very competitive contest to get proceedings underway, and we'll side with Celestial Tryst.
