It's a long way to send Royal Mile, who has had his last nine starts over fences, scoring at Chepstow in October. He'll love the conditions and with a test of stamina likely will be fancied to gain his first success over timber. Political Paddy has won three times over hurdles but not for almost four years. He looked the likely winner over a slightly longer trip at Kelso last time but was collared by today's rival NOTONEBUTTWO. The winner, who was well supported despite showing little previous form, stayed on powerfully and can complete the double despite a 10lb rise in the weights. Mini The Minx can't get her head in front but was only caught in the latter stages when attempting to make all over track and trip last time and looks sure to go close again.
