Verdict

Prince Freddie makes a quick reappearance after finishing second at Beverley on Wednesday and today's slower ground will suit. Almarmooq ran well on his debut but was a disappointing favourite on his latest start at Wolverhampton and preference goes to ITTIRAD. A close-up second on his debut over a mile at Nottingham in October, there plenty of stamina on his dam's side and Roger Varian's colt looks sure to improve for this longer trip. Garth Mountain finished fifth at Bath on his debut and makes more appeal than debutant War Poet.
