Fergal O’Brien’s stable could not be in better form and the Gloucestershire handler has sent the ex-Irish ANNIE ALAINN up for this. She came good for new connections at Hereford and may be capable of defying top weight in a race that lacks any strength-in-depth. Mitcd was beaten at Sedgefield after winning at Musselburgh and has gone up another 2lb and Leicester runner-up Catchthemoonlight looks a bigger danger. Notebook should be better for a reappearance but Toola Boola has been showing little on the Flat this year and Simmply Sam hasn’t run since a beaten favourite at Sedgefield in the spring. Ange Des Malberaux is in danger of becoming disappointing.
