In depth

Verdict

Cool Baranca has cut little ice in handicaps of late though this looks an easier assignment. The Flaming Matron has failed to figure in a couple of outings since landing a maiden hurdle but Nautical Twilight ran well on her penultimate start and is worth a second glance if the betting speaks in her favour. Hi Candy won a juvenile event at Carlisle in August but it all went wrong at Market Rasen last time where she was pulled up. CHASSE EN MER's dam is a half-sister to Gold Cup hero Long Run and she won over timber in France before joining Caroline Bailey. After going close at Fakenham in October, she gets the vote in this.
