      Verdict

Some of the country's major stables are represented here with John Gosden saddling a pair. Ben Vrackie looks the best of them after the son of Frankel made an eye-catching debut at Newbury. Sir Michael Stout's Hamlul, another Frankel colt, couldn't quite match the pace of Sleeping Lion at Kempton but has more progress in him while Godolphin's Recordman has improved with every run and looked like winning at Pontefract until caught close home. Andrew Balding's Natural History showed potential on his reappearance at Leicester and this is his trip while James Fanshawe's SCARAMANGA belied his 50/1 SP when staying on strongly over 1m2f at Sandown and further progress can see him take this. Roger Varian's filly Elasia caught the eye on her introduction at Haydock and is another to note.
