HOT SPICE won for the third time in his last four starts when successful at Thirsk recently. He had Hallstatt back in third on that occasion and had earlier beat Maoi Chinn Tire at Redcar. The latter has since won twice but is worse off with Mick Easterby's charge as a consequence. Mason Hindmarsh has plenty to find with the latter and Underwritten makes more appeal off his current mark.
