    Verdict

Prospect Court, Highland Warrior and High Reach make the shortlist here, with High Reach taken to resume winning ways on what looks a winning mark. While a number of his rivals have penalties to carry, High Reach races off only a one pound higher mark than when second at Thirsk last time. That was an improved effort in a big field, and although he has not won for two years, he has been crashing down the weights and looks well treated. Highland Warrior carries a six pound penalty for a good Ripon win, and the form of that win has been given major boosts with the second and third winning since. He handles cut in the ground, but the welter burden of ten stone six may prove prohibitive. Prospect Court is only three pounds higher than when scoring over this course and distance in September, and he was only just touched off when well backed at Carlisle last time. He looks sure to give a good account and must go well. However, in a competitive affair, High Reach can prove superior to his rivals.
