In depth

Verdict

Strensall has more to do under a 7lb penalty for his win at Catterick on Wednesday and a safer bet looks to be recent Yarmouth winner Bluebok, who is preferred to Malapropism. The last mentioned comes from the in-form yard of Mick Channon and has shown a better level of form of late himself so he has to be respected. Ian Semple's Grigorovitch would have claims if able to reproduce the form of his latest effort at York but he is not the most consistent of performers, while Kings College Boy is hard to win with and is arguably better with more cut in the ground. Aegean Dancer and Spanish Ace cannot be ruled out but Bluebok was good value for his defeat of Malapropism at Yarmouth and is taken to confirm that form.
