In depth

Verdict

Amy Louise gets the confident vote in this maiden with Altessa and Cape Sydney the pair taken to chase her home. The selection finished a fair fourth behind Dark Missile at Pontefract last time. That came on the back of two solid efforts and she should be up to getting her head in front tonight at the fourth time of asking. Altessa is from a yard in fair form but her breeding suggests she will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time so she may be best watched here. Cape Sydney has shown a modicum of ability in her runs to date but she is exposed and it will be disappointing if a more progressive type does not beat her. Distant Vision may just need the run after a 296-day absence and in a race that lacks strength in depth for the winner we return to Amy Louise to continue her stable's fine run.
