Verdict

Commissar was well backed when third to Magic City on his debut at Newbury and should confirm that form with fifth Chunky Diamond. He'll be fancied to recoup losses here but may find TELL DAD too strong. Richard Hannon's colt ran previous winner Jack Who's He to a head over this C&D on his debut and will know more today. Stablemate Democretes is speedily-bred, as is Clive Brittain's Red Aggressor, but Godolphin's first two-year-old runner of the season Mizbah and Rio Grande are likely to need further.
