Verdict

Sir Gerry can land the Middle Park Stakes at the expense of Achillies Of Troy and Strike The Deal. The selection put a relatively disappointing performance at Newmarket behind him to land the Gimcrack Stakes at Yorks Ebor meeting last time out. In the process he beat a strong field and beat the favourite Swiss Franc by a convincing four lengths. Sir Gerry is relatively unexposed and with improvement still on the cards he is the one they all have to beat. Achilles Of Troy broke his maiden tag at Newmarket earlier on in the year and was seen in good order when second to Dream Eater in Doncasters valuable two year olds sales race. Having said that he is yet to be tested in group company and therefore may be best watched. A better bet could be Strike The Deal who has won a Group 2 in winning the Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. He was not discredited when second to Dark Angel in the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury and therefore has to be very much respected. But for the winner we will return to Sir Gerry.
