Rene Mathis has a terrific record at HQ and won this last year off an 8lb lower mark. No three-year-old has won this since 2008 but Mambo Paradise must have every chance of ending that run on his staying-on second at Goodwood. Jacob Black has been unlucky to come up against the useful Basem on a couple of occasions since winning at Sandown in May but this is a tough track on which to try and make all. BUCKSTAY has been raised a couple of pounds since just touched off by Mr Win over track and trip last month but his only poor run this year came over a mile and he seems certain to make another bold effort to open his seasonal account. Mime Dance, Lacan and Royal Seal could be the pick of the remainder.
