Verdict

Darjina can land the success that her recent efforts merit although she did get involved in a battle royale in the Queen Anne and there must be a slight concern as to whether she can bounce back so quickly. She just had to concede second best to Haradasun that day but the form has been given a boost - as if any were needed - by the subsequent exploits of Mount Nelson. Darjina has already proven her class with two wins at the highest level last season and while she hasn't won since then, placed efforts in the Hong Kong Mile and the Dubai Duty Free Stakes confirmed her place as one of the best fillies in training. She's usually granted plenty of time between her races so we can't be certain how she will respond today, but connections are most unlikely to risk their brilliant filly if they have any concerns that she is less than one hundred per cent ready. Finsceal Beo has to be forgiven a rare poor run on her latest start but, regardless of that, she's never beaten Darjina anyway. Heaven Sent and Nahoodh have plenty to prove at this level against proven performers and German Guineas winner Briseida is probably up against it as well given the proximity of Love Of Dubai in the Dusselforf Classic. That leaves Majestic Roi, Infallible and Seachange as the most interesting alternatives. The latter, a New Zealand raider, doesn't have a great deal to find with Darjina on their running at Nad Al Sheba and is reported to be settling in well in the UK following a modest display in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Ascot. Connections but that run down to her inability to handle the track. This is her trip and connections are hopeful of a big run but she appears to have a bit to find. Majestic Roi finished behind Heaven Sent at Royal Ascot but has proven form at this level and rates a danger. Infallible ran well to chase home Lush Lashes in the Coronation Stakes on ground that was deemed to be unsuitably fast. Rain would certainly be in her favour and the Classic generation have won the last two runnings. DARJINA is a class act though and is expected to take all the beating here even if she isn't quite at her best.
