In depth

Verdict

Several of these took part in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot last time with fifth-placed Symbolization coming out best ahead of Walk In The Sun and Tangled with John Gosden’s duo Purser and Emaraaty further behind. The latter is capable of better but is deserted by Jim Crowley in favour of GABR today as Sir Michael Stoute’s charge wasn’t disgraced when fifth in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes at Ascot on his latest start. This is easier and with the Stoute yard in flying form, he gets the vote to come out best. Zaman looks second choice of the Godolphin pair while Masaarr may do better returning to today’s trip after a couple of modest efforts over 1m2f.
