Verdict

Zain Shamardal was placed on all three starts as a juvenile and sent off favourite for a handicap over C&D last month. He could only finish third, however, and is beginning to look a little exposed now. Polperro caught the eye on his debut at Yarmouth while there should be more to come from Warwick sixth Stage Attraction and Muzdahi, who showed promise here and at York as a two-year-old. But one or two well-bred newcomers catch the eye here including Henry Cecil's Night And Dance, who cost 350,000gns as a yearling, and MARICOPA. The Godolphin colt is a half-brother to several useful winners over a variety of distances and is sure to have had plenty of work on the gallops.
