In depth

Verdict

Wavertree Warrior may have been flattered by his proximity to Godolphin's easy York winner Army Of Angels last time and may be best left out of calculations along with another Godolphin runner here Desert Chief, who may find the going too testing for his return, so preference is for Muzher. The selection was a shade disappointing behind the aforementioned Army Of Angels at Newmarket when last seen last month but was not disgraced that day, remains on a fair mark and will relish the underfoot conditions. King's Caprice comes from a yard back among the winners of late and has to be considered on recent evidence, while South Cape could probably do with some help from the handicapper at present. Henry Candy's Signor Peltro may want a faster surface, while Minority Report is another that would not want any further easing of the ground and a safer bet looks to be Muzher, who is taken to resume winning ways.
