Verdict

SPACIOUS looks the one to be on and can make the most of the weight-for-age allowance to land this with Barshiba and Ronaldsay short list material. The selection is rated the best of these on BHA figures and receives weight from all but two of her opponents, making her an attractive proposition. The 1,000 Guineas runner-up was not disgraced in the Sun Chariot Stakes over a mile here last time and pedigree suggests that this extra two furlongs might help her find a bit more improvement. Back in this easier grade she can score. Barshiba is another dropping in class to contest this, after running behind the selection in the Sun Chariot. David Elsworth's filly has run very well in the main this season but she has yet to register a win and she may again have to settle for the frame. Ronaldsay is a Listed regular who is effective at trips from 10 furlongs up to 1m 4f and has his favoured sound surface. He looks sure to give his usual effort but it might not be quite good enough. Sweet Lilly will be better for the decent ground here and might return to form, though Classic Remark will probably want rain to improve her chance. Moon Sister, In The Light and Fragrancy all need to step up on what they have shown so far, and Spacious is given the vote.
