Weekend Fling is bound to be popular with backers following his win in a maiden at Catterick earlier this month but Mark Johnston's colt does not look to be particularly well treated for his debut in a handicap and preference is for Cheap Street, with Resplendent Alpha rated the best of the rest. The selection showed progressive form last term, winning three times, and is taken to make a winning return and defy the latest rise in the weights. Windsor winner Sakhee's Secret was found wanting when upped in class to a conditions race at Ascot when last seen and may be best watched, while Imprimis Tagula may now be a shade high in the weights having shown winning form on teh all-weather recently. College Scholar is an interesting contender from Mick Channon's yard but looks to be plenty high enough in the weights for what he has achieved. Si Foo has the benefit of having had a couple of outings this term and is another to consider along with Resplendent Alpha. The last mentioned may struggle under the burden of top weight though and preference is for Cheap Street, in the hope that he is fit enough for his return.
