Verdict

A headscratcher of a "getting out stakes" with plenty entitled to consideration but the decision to send MY SINGLE MALT all the way down from North Yorkshire could be one that pays dividends. The gelding had always been held in high regard when trained by Tom Tate and though he hasn't set the world alight since joining Julie Camacho, his latest effort at Chester suggested that he might be just be coming back into form. First Class and Yankee Storm have been finishing close up with regularity around Yarmouth and connections will doubtless be hoping that a change of scenery brings a change of luck. Frozen Over has been out of form though Silvestre De Sousa is an interesting booking while the well-bred Schoolmaster is worthy of closer inspection on his handicap debut and any support for Giles Bravery's gelding should be noted.
