Not a strong handicap for the venue and QUEEN'S SCHOLAR is the suggestion to see off Marosh and Hierarch. The selection is on the same mark as when going close at both Musselburgh and Hamilton in recent runs and she comes here in form in the context of this race. As yet unproven on fast ground, connections won't mind if there is any rain for her and with first-time blinkers and the chance of a positive ride she could go very well. Marosh has also made the frame on both of his last two starts and Bob Cowell's gelding is kept on the same mark of 74 for this. Fast ground suits and although he has not yet won over this trip he certainly gets it and is respected. Hierarch went close in a Warwick maiden before failing to impress on his handicap debut last time. The drop in trip looks a good move and we should see more today. Course and distance winner Yabtree may be a little high in the weights but certainly has frame claims, though Queen's Scholar is preferred. (Jonathan Doidge)
