Verdict

Tawaassol has solid claims judged by official BHB ratings but Sir Michael Stoute's colt is far from certain to go on the ground and preference is for Andronikos, who gets the vote ahead of Masta Plasta. The last mentioned is probably better than he has shown previously this season and has to be respected with Howard Johnson's horses beginning to show better form now. Appalachian Trail would probably prefer a faster surface, while One Putra may struggle to give weight away all round. Assertive has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this soft and a safer option looks to be Paul Cole's Andronikos, who is proven on the ground and has been running well enough to suggest that he can take a race of this nature.
