This more conventional course will help Madaarek show more than he did at Chester a fortnight ago and he gets the nod over Market Forces and Nimra in this wide-open handicap. Nimra won stepped up to the plate in game style to score at Warwick last time out - showing a really likeable attitude in a driving battle for the line. This is a slightly tougher contest and, as a 5lb higher mark makes life tougher, she needs to be at the top of her game. Market Forces has been consistent and, from the foot of the weights, she has to merit a second look. However, she is also climbing up the weights and also has a bit to prove. Therefore, we take a chance that Madaarek can regain the winning thread that saw him land a brace of successes earlier in the campaign. This stiff galloping track will suit his style of running - making Ed Dunlop's charge our most appealing option for a bet in a tough one to call.
