Blues In The Night has been running consistently well of late and can again be expected to be thereabouts but Peter Makin's gelding may again have to settle for a minor role behind Trimlestown, who gets the vote ahead of Fabrian. The selection has shown progressive form of late, is likely to improve further for the cut in the ground and could still be ahead of the handicapper so he gets the vote. Resplendent Nova was good value for his win at Brighton last time but this looks tougher, especially off a 7lb higher mark. Passion Fruit may be better on a faster surface, while Breaking Shadow has been hard to win with and may be booked for a place at best. Fabrian has claims on the evidence of his recent Leicester success but is not certain to appreciate the drop back in trip and a safer bet looks to be Trimlestown, who is taken to win again.
