FIG ROLL, the choice of Richard Hughes from two Hannon entries, produced a career-best last week at the royal meeting when fourth in the Queen Mary, looking for all the world that a sixth furlong is just what she's crying out for. That also looked the case much earlier in her juvenile career when coming from an unpromising position to score at Salisbury. She now tackles the extra yardage for the first time and is hard to oppose if over her Ascot exertions. Majeyda looks the major danger for the in-form Godolphin empire. She may only have landed an ordinary Leicester maiden on debut but the style in which she did so was unmistakable and she certainly looks one with a future. Hoku's last run in Listed grade at York didn't receive the anticipated Royal Ascot boost from Beldale Memory but she's still a filly on the up who merits considerable respect here.
