Verdict

BUTHELEZI looks banker material with this track likely to play to his strengths. Although he only scraped home by a nose at Doncaster, the feeling is that the handicapper has been lenient with just a 3lb rise in the weights. This strapping son of Dynaformer still has an entry in the Racing Post Trophy. Jehanbux has solid form to his name and blinkers may eke out some further improvement, whilst Poplin is progressing well but the filly might find this tough against some very promising colts. Similar comments apply to the progressive Dansili filly Bridle Belle, Indigo Way beat a subsequent winner at Goodwood and looks a big player off a 6lb higher mark, whilst Profondo Rosso has plenty more to give after a dour Brighton win. Of the rest, it is Loukoumi, the Newcastle winner, and Early Applause, beaten only by half a length by Buthelezi at Doncaster, who make most appeal.
