Verdict

There is sure to be plenty of pace on here, which will suit Alfonso, who arrives here with an improving profile and can utilise the weight he receives from Digital and Cardinal Venture, who are just a couple of leading players in a very tricky finale to the season's racing at Newmarket. Mutamared and Sydney Star are others that are unexposed individuals that can figure strongly if they get the breaks in running, while Kodiac has only had a couple of starts this term and will be thereabouts if handling the ground. Digital will be played late if he runs true to form and will exploit any chinks in the armor of those further down the racecard. However, he can be hard to predict and may be frustratingly short of the mark. Alfonso on the other hand, has improved since the turning of the ground and arrives here on the back of a series of solid performances. Barry Hills knows the time of day with runners of his type and the Lambourn handler looks to have a well treated individual on his hands for next season in Alfonso whatever happens today.
