Verdict

Kack Handed scored on his debut for Tim Vaughan reverting to hurdles and is clearly in good heart in new surroundings. He's a leading contender despite his penalty but QUIET WHISPER, also penalised, is preferred if back to the level of an assured handicap success at Towcester when jumping and travelling fluently. Backed into favouritism in better company last time, he didn't hurdle with the same economy and that run is best forgiven. Lieutenant Miller made late progress without troubling the principals on his hurdling debut and can only improve for Nicky Henderson. Not seen since last November, he may just need this, although it would be no surprise to see him take advantage of the weight received from the penalised pair.
